Annual General Meeting
The Gosport & District Angling Club AGM will be held in the clubhouse on Friday 30 October at 8pm.
All committee posts are up for election at the AGM. Full members with a minimum of 12 months membership are eligible for committee posts. For any nominations please provide name and post. The deadline for nominations is 30 September 2026.
If you require a motion added to the AGM agenda. The deadline for inclusion on the agenda is 30 September 2026.
The agenda for the AGM will be circulated by 16 October.

YOUR VOICE MATTERS
The A.G.M. is your primary opportunity to discuss club developments, vote on important resolutions, and elect the committee handling club business, beach/boat matches, and events.
All current, fully paid-up members are strongly encouraged to attend.

Some members visited the Boat Life Show at the NEC at Birmingham on 16th February 2024.

If the show is on next year we will attempt to get some more members to join us as we all have a very enjoyable day it was well worth the visit

Team Suzuki
The Suzuki fishing team were at the show, not only showing off their vessels that were on display but they also had a fishing simulator, any member of the public could battle with a Tuna, sailfish and many more species, the battle could last for some time and from watching it looked like hard work.
We did enquire if this type of equipment could be hired but we were told by the team it was the only one in the country and it's cost was £17,000.
Don't think our budget would stretch to that still it was fun to watch.

Pictured is the Chairman of Gosport and District Angling Club presenting a £200.00 Dontation to the chairman of Gosport and fareham Inshore Rescue Service, the money was raised throught the year from the profits made from the sell of outdoor clothing run by our Bar Chairperson Lou Bullen, special thanks to Lou for all her efforts, the donation will help GAFIRS continue to run their voluntary organisation

The club had its Annual visit from the Royal National Lifeboat Instutution who have a stand in our club to sell their branded goods like ,christmas cards, diaries etc.
Pictured is our Hon Secretary presenting a cheque for £100.00 to a representative of the RNLI on behalf of the club.
This donation is to help a good and valuable cause.
