Below are photographs of our members who have fished from a boat during the years, any of our members are welcome to send in their photographs to be published together with a short description of the picture, before we can publish we must have your permission to do so.

Pictured is John Seymour holding up a nice Blonde Ray caught on "Sea Mist" during the Species Hunt on July 14th 2024, the fish was caught east of the Nab and was 710mm across the wings and weighed in at 16lbs 2oz personel Best.
The fish was measured, weighed and returned to the sea alive

Pictured is Paul Farrugia holding up a nice Blonde Ray caught on "Sea Mist" during the Species Hunt on July 14th 2024, the fish was caught east of the Nab and was 670mm across the wings and weighed in at 15lbs 2oz personel Best.
The fish was measured, weighed and returned to the sea alive

Pictured is Jack Kendall holding up a P.B Smoothound and an Angling Trust Specimen.
The fish was caught during competition 6 held on June 23rd 2024, he was in the west solent area on a Blue Sky and no wind day, it was his first fish of the day and weighed in at 19lbs 8oz.
The competition was won by Jack and he also took the heaviest fish, the fish was returned to the sea alive after this photo was taken.

Whilst fishing out of any boat channel, we were interupted from fishing by a car transporter no more than 75 feet from us, From the video you can just see the spot on the horizon that's us!, Skipper Mark Carby was ready to cut the anchor line as the boat went right over the anchor line.

The fish was returned safely to the sea alive

Pictured isJack Kendall (our new boat match officer) on board Cider Daze during the first Boat Competition of 2024 (January 6th) fishing in the Culver spit area when he bagged his personal best Bull huss.
This fish also took the heaviest fish and jack also came first in the competition.
The calculated weight of the fish was 9lbs 10 oz (4370Grms)

Holding up a nice size Tope, he believes around the forty pound mark.
The fish was returned to the sea alive to fight another day.

The fish weighed around 12lbs not as big as Andy's, after the photo was taken the fish was returned alive to live another day

Pictured is Paul Farrugia holding up his very first Undulate Ray, the fish was caught during Competition No. 8 (Species Hunt) on Sunday August 14th 2022.
The fish weighed in at 4150grms (9lbs 2.4ozs) with a wing span of 61cm, the fish had 2 leaches attached which were removed and the fish was returned back to the sea alive.

Pictured is John Seymour holding up a nice size Smoothound (103 Cm) caught east of the Nab during the Boat Competition 4 on April 16th, the calculated weight was around 12lbs.
The fish took the heaviest bag at the end of the competition, after this photo was taken the fish was returned safely to the sea alive
Very short video of the trip of Valletta from the harbour mouth to outside the club, all of 4 minutes.
Speed recorded was 42Kts (48.33 MPH)

The tope was measured at 128Cm , which converted using our measuring system is estimated to be 23.5Lbs, the fish was promply returned to the sea alive.

This fish will be registered with the Angling Trust Specimen Awards Scheme

Pictured is John Seymour on board "Seamist" during Competition 9 on October 8th 2023.
John is displaying the largest of 2 Bullhuss, this fish of 108Cm with a calculated weight of 6800Grms (14lbs 15.8oz).
After the fish was measured and pictured it was returned to the sea alive.
The other Bullhuss caught was 96Cm (10lbs 10oz) but was not of specimen size.
The fish details have now been forwarded to the Angling Trust Specimen Scheme

Competition 9 Winner Paul Farrugia pictured with the largest of 2 specimen Bullhuss capture on board "Seamist" on October 8th 2023.
The Bullhus was 109Cm long with a calulated weight of 6970Grms (15lbs 5 oz)
After the fish was measured and photographed it was return to the sea alive.
The other specimen Bullhuss was 105Cm, calculated weight of 6290Grms
(13lbs 13oz)
Both the fish details have now been forwarded to the Angling Trust Specimen Award Scheme.

The fish came in at 0.908 Grams which is equal to our current Boat record which has stood for some time.
The fish was returned to the sea alive.
